CHICAGO – February 12, 2018 – Ryerson is committed to supporting communities in the places where it operates. Helping those in need is part of its history. Now, as the company celebrates its 175th year in business, Ryerson is pleased to introduce Ryerson Gives Back, a service initiative that will amplify its positive impact in the communities in which it serves.
The 12-month program launched late last year in conjunction with the company’s 175th anniversary and will run through November 2018. Follow Ryerson on Facebook under the #RyersonGivesBack thread for more information and updates about the volunteer programs taking place throughout the year.
“For 175 years, Ryerson has demonstrated its ongoing dedication to supporting its communities and helping those in need. From the Chicago Fire of 1871 to its 100-year family scholarship program, Ryerson continues to care for its people and the communities it serves through donations, volunteer efforts and educational programs,” said Allison Pillsbury, senior manager, Corporate Human Resources and Ryerson Gives Back committee lead. “Ryerson Gives Back not only helps unify our efforts, but solidifies our long-term commitment to giving back to our communities.”
