Aluminum round tube is offered in grades 6061, 6063, 2011-T3, 2024-T3, drawn 3003-H14, 3003-0, and 6061-T6511.
Extruded aluminum tube is formed by hot extruding through a die and is available as a seamless or structural grade product. Seamless is extruded over a mandrel utilizing a hollow billet and is the only tubular product recommended for pressure applications. The structural product is extruded over a bridge or porthole die and will contain weld seams that are evident if anodized.
Drawn tube is a seamless extruded tube that is brought to final size by drawing through a die. Closer size tolerances and thinner wall thicknesses than that of extruded tube are available.

Sawing is used to cut round aluminum tubing to length.
For more complex cuts, try a tube laser. At its basic function, tube laser cutting machines will cut tube, channel or structural shapes to length while also adding holes or complex cutout designs—all in a single step and with the ability to hold tight tolerances on more complex fabrications. Parts can be produced from one continuous piece of raw material to ensure that they only fit one way and are easily assembled.
