Ryerson offers a variety of grades of alloy plate, including AR400, which is used in wear applications, and A514, which has excellent mechanical properties. We also carry 4140, a cold-drawn annealed steel with excellent hardening capabilities that responds well to heat treatment and is easy to machine, and 8620 alloy plate, which has a hard outer case and a soft ductile core with minimum distortion and growth characteristics. Alloy steel plate is offered in AQ, As/Roll, Q&T and SRA varieties.
